"25 million Africans now live with HIV/AIDS and 12 million children have been orphaned by the disease. 20 million people, moreover, have been displaced by conflicts in sub-Saharan Africa. While the scale of this is staggering, the numbers hide the suffering and struggles that individuals endure on a daily basis. Project Air, a landmark initiative, promises to intervene in a unique and hugely effective way. I am in awe of the energy and effort that has gone into it already. There is no doubt that the women and children fortunate enough to work with Project Air will emerge stronger and better prepared for the future challenges they face."
